“It was a good race in Argentina, my first time here in this country and everything went well with me, with the bike and with the team. We have been improving the bike and I feel we reached a really good level. This race was the result of that. We put everything together, we’ve been looking to do that for quite for a few races, but we had some issues every race. This race we were able to put it all together and I’m super happy we won.”

• A specialist in the Baja Portuguese national championship, the 26-year-old rider became number one in his country in 2024. In that year he entered his first rally raid with the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, finishing in the top five in Rally2.
• Later in that season, at home, during the first edition of the bp Ultimate Rally Raid Portugal, electrical problems forced him to retire.
• Martim then turned his attention to Morocco, where he trained in navigation, winning the Carta Rally along the way.
• Spotted by his compatriot Ruben Faria, team manager of the factory Honda team, he joined HRC's new Rally2 programme alongside American Preston Campbell. Honda's hopefuls are under the supervision of Rui Gonçalves. The former Honda official in MXGP in 2011-12, a retired professional rally-raid rider for Sherco from 2020 to 2025, joined the reds since the South Africa round in 2025.
• Next goal will be Dakar 2026 after the Rallye du Maroc, for what would be the first appearance for the Portuguese.
