- The name Pellicer is no stranger to the world of rally-raid racing. It was José Manuel who made a name for himself on the tracks, particularly those of the Dakar Rally between 2003 and 2014, climbing every rung of the ladder, from the Elf Trophy for rookies, to becoming an official Husqvarna rider in 2012 alongside a certain Joan Barreda, via victory with BMW in the inaugural Africa Race in 2009.
- Alfredo grew up alongside a father who was a professional rally-raid rider, who put him on his first motorbike at the age of five. This was followed by years of learning through all the regional enduro categories, culminating in the national 125cc title in 2023. A title that earned him a place on the Spanish Motorcycling Federation’s team to represent his country in the world championship.
- Particularly at ease on the fast sections of enduro, Alfredo seemed to have a natural aptitude for rally-raid. But his father preferred to see him continue in enduro. It was Joan Fernandez, the manager of the Xraids Experience team to which José Manuel belonged, who managed to convince the latter to let the young Alfredo try his hand at an intermediate format. The 2025 Baja Aragon, which the rookie finished in 4th place!
- Alfredo then decided to compete in the World Rally-Raid Championship, naturally with the Xraids Experience team, where his father works as a mechanic, now following in his son’s footsteps.
- At the age of 21, after two attempts in the W2RC, Alfredo made “the most important decision of my life” by choosing, at the end of 2025, to give up his studies to devote himself entirely to his ambition of becoming a professional rally-raid driver.
- Finishing in the top five in Rally2 and as the top junior on his debut at the bp Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal 2025, as well as in his fourth outing in less than a year at the Desafio Ruta 40 YPF 2026, Alfredo is now one of the most promising privateer drivers. Above all, the Spaniard is five years younger than his official Honda rivals Martim Ventura and Preston Campbell.
- In 2027, Alfredo will compete in his first Dakar, naturally with the Xraids Experience team, with whom he intends to climb the ranks, just as his father did before him.
