• On the Dakar, the name Jameel has mainly been associated with the successes of Yazeed Al Rajhi or Dania Akeel as a main sponsor. But in 2026, not only will the name be on quite a few vehicles as a sponsor, it’ll also be on the SSV number 433 of Hassan Jameel, the Vice chairman of the Abdul Latif Jameel company, a global investor and 80-year-old network of internationally diversified businesses.
• And one of the businesses that he manages is the exclusive distribution rights of the Toyota Group in all the Middle-East, so no wonder that he rapidly invested in the Dakar and will now be one of its main actors.
• For his first appearance in the competition, Jameel who recently competed at the Rallye du Maroc and the Dubai Baja will be driving a Can-Am SSV on the Dakar prepared by South Racing and at his side he’ll have former biker Maciej Giemza.
