- Issu d'une famille de passionnés de sport automobile, Dennis Zenz a commencé le karting à l'âge de sept ans. Il a fait ses premiers pas en tant que copilote à l'âge de 13 ans et a décidé de poursuivre dans cette voie.
- Il se souvient d'être allé voir une manche du WRC en Allemagne quand il était enfant et d'avoir essayé d'obtenir des autographes de stars telles que Carlos Sainz.
- À 16 ans, il a commencé à courir officiellement dans le championnat allemand de rallye, puis a passé plus de 15 saisons à concourir sur la scène nationale et européenne.
- C'est à l'aéroport, alors qu'il se rendait au rallye d'Andalousie en 2020, qu'il a rencontré Seth Quintero, avec qui il a fait ses débuts en rallye-raid. Ils ont concouru ensemble pendant cinq saisons consécutives, remportant de nombreuses étapes et le titre W2RC T3 en 2023.
- Après leur séparation à la suite du rallye d'Afrique du Sud 2025, Zenz a rejoint l'équipe The Dacia Sandriders pour former un nouveau duo avec Lucas Moraes.
