- En tant que copilote de Joao Ferreira, Filipe Palmeiro a connu une année 2024 très chargée. Les deux hommes ont en effet participé à 24 courses dans quatre championnats différents, dont trois qu'ils ont remportés : le championnat portugais, le championnat d'Europe et la Coupe du monde Baja.
- Maintenant qu'ils courent pour une équipe d'usine, ils participent à moins d'épreuves, mais font beaucoup plus d'essais, si bien que Filipe ne passe toujours pas beaucoup de temps avec son fils de deux ans. Pire encore, son fils sait désormais que lorsque des sacs sortent de l'armoire, c'est que papa s'en va ! L'activité agricole de Filipe a été impactée de la même manière. Il a complètement abandonné la culture des champignons et se concentre désormais sur les châtaignes, l'activité agricole la moins chronophage qu'il ait pu trouver.
- Mais Filipe ne s'en plaint pas. Copilote depuis 25 ans, il est exactement là où il rêvait d'être. En 2004, alors qu'il était incapable de trouver les fonds nécessaires mais désireux de découvrir le Dakar, il s'était inscrit en tant que photographe ! Depuis, il n'a pas pris beaucoup de photos, mais il a passé beaucoup de temps au volant.
