S.G.
- This will be his 9th appearance for Szymon on the Dakar but his second in the Ultimate class. The 40-year-old polish copilot first got interested in rally at the age of 15 when his brother Kuba took him to a local event. Five years later he reached his first rally as a licensed co-driver. He was so stressed that he got into the wrong car ! "I put on the helmet and fastened my seatbelt, and only when I opened the notes I realised I had mixed up the cars!"
- Szymon is a twice Polish Rally Champion (2019 and 2021) alongside Miko Marczyk, with whom he competes in the WRC/ERC. He was 2nd in the ERC co-drivers' standings in the 2021 season, and just helped Miko reach third place in the drivers' standings in 2024. In 2025 they won the ERC season.
- It was in 2018 that Szymon made his Dakar debut alongside Claude Fournier. They did a superb job to finish 3rd in the SSV class. After a brief stint as a truck navigator with Patrice Garrouste (9th in 2020), he embarked on a successful partnership with Michal Goczal in the SSVs. The Polish duo - national cross-country champions in 2019 - came as high as 4th in the Dakar 2021 though they were disqualified from Dakar 2024 (along with Michal's nephew Eryk Goczal) for the use of a non-compliant clutch disc.
- His idols are Cyril Despres, Nani Roma, Alfie Cox, Fabrizio Meoni, Stephane Peterhansel and Hiroshi Masuoka.
- Szymon's motto is "dream responsibly because dreams come true"
