M.G.

  • Marek has been passionate about motorsport since his teenage years. His idol was Sobieslaw Zasada, one of Poland’s most legendary rally drivers. In 1997, he began competing in rallies, taking part in both the Polish and European Rally Championships on a Skoda Felicia, continuing through the 1998 season.
  • Afterwards, he took a 20-year break from professional racing to focus on business, during which he founded Energylandia, now the largest amusement park in Poland. Despite stepping away from competition, his love for motorsport never ended. He continued driving for pleasure, often taking part in off-road adventures on SSVs or quads.
  • In 2019, Marek decided to return to racing, this time to the world of cross-country rallies. Together with his brother Michał, he founded the Energylandia Rally Team, competing in Poland with a Can-Am Maverick X3. The team grew up and soon Marek’s son, Eryk, joined the family effort, turning their shared passion into a powerful racing legacy.
  • On his 40th birthday, he received a SSV as a gift and together with his son, set off on their first off-road expedition. That journey sparked the idea for Energylandia Rally Team and their pursuit of the ultimate goal: competing at the highest level of rally raid.
  • After several adventurous expeditions in Morocco and along the Dakar routes in South America, Marek and his family made the leap into professional racing, chasing the same dream that once inspired him as a young motorsport fan.
  • Marek Goczal marked his return to racing after a 20-year break with three victories in cross-country rallies during the 2019 season. He is one of the fastest drivers in the T4 category in the world and a winner of multiple Dakar stages. Marek made his Dakar debut in 2021, immediately securing 2nd place in the Rookie SSV category. He became the Vice World Champion in the T4 World Rally-Raid Championship in 2022 and finished 3rd at the Dakar 2023 in the T4 class. That year, he debuted in the T3 class, taking victory in the World Championship round Rallye du Maroc. In 2024, he finished 2nd in the Challenger Class at the W2RC round in Morocco.
  • The 2025 season began with a switch to the Toyota Hilux T1+, in which, together with Maciek Marton, he competed in four rallies as preparation of the 2026 season. Marek is faithful to the Marton family has he also had Maciek's father, Rafal, as a co-pilot next to him on the right side.
