- Martin Prokop se prépare pour son 11e Dakar consécutif dans la catégorie Ultimate, dix ans après avoir terminé deuxième meilleur rookie lors de ses débuts en 2016. Fait remarquable, le pilote tchèque a toujours terminé, décrochant six places dans le Top 10 et atteignant la cinquième place (un record national) en 2024.
- Après dix ans de course dans « Shrek » - une Ford Raptor préparée par sa propre équipe privée MP-Sports - Martin a conclu un accord avec Ford et M-Sport pour le Dakar 2026. Il reste un pilote privé, mais prendra le volant de la Ford Raptor T1+ d'usine, la même voiture que Mattias Ekstrom a conduite à la troisième place du classement général du Dakar 2025.
- Martin et son copilote Viktor Chytka ont participé à trois Bajas avec leur nouvelle voiture depuis l'annonce de leur accord avec Ford en juin, à Aragon (6e), au Qatar (2e) et à Dubaï (4e).
- Agé de 43 ans et originaire de Jihlava, Martin a débuté en rallye traditionnel et a remporté le titre Junior WRC en 2009. Il a fait ses débuts en WRC au Monte-Carlo en 2005 et a depuis participé à environ 150 courses. En 2025, il s’est classé aux portes du Top 10 au Rallye d'Italie-Sardaigne et au Rallye de l'Acropole.
- En plus d'avoir impressionné au Dakar, Martin affiche un beau palmarès à l'Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, où il a terminé trois fois deuxième (2017, 2022, 2023).
